Crude Oil Storage Tanks, designed and constructed by Punj Lloyd, enter 'Malaysia Book of Records'

Punj Lloyd today announced that the Crude Oil Storage Tanks, designed and constructed by it for Petronas - Malaysia's national energy company, have been listed in the Malaysia Book of Records.

Punj Lloyd was awarded the RAPID Tank Farm order, an Rs 3,515 crore (USD581 million) project from PRPC Refinery and Cracker Sdn. Bhd.; a subsidiary under the Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) group. The RAPID Tank Farm entailed construction of a diversity of tanks including storage tanks, LPG tanks, mounded bullets, Light Cracked Naphtha storage, transfer pumps and additive packages.    .

Speaking on the achievement, Punj Lloyd CEO Rakesh Arnol said, "This achievement comes close on the heels of the Sikkim Greenfield Airport inauguration where Punj Lloyd carved out the runway at the altitude of 4700 ft in the mountain, considered an engineering marvel."


On Punj Lloyd's constructed tanks being listed in the Malaysia Book of Records, he further said, "It is the greatest endorsement of our construction prowess in Tankage and we are indeed proud. We are also thankful to Petronas for encouraging us with repeated 'Focused Recognition' Certificates. The ceremony, marking the 'First Crude into the Refinery Tank Farm, was indeed a memorable moment for us. "
