IMP Power announced successful foray into renewable energy

IMP Power today updated stock exchanges about its successful foray into the renewable energy space.

In its note to exchange company informed that it has crossed the first hurdle in terms of successful trial completion of kinetic energy turbines upto 31st May. Company’s 4x5 kW turbines are generating power at a record of 70% PLF and has fed more than 80000kWh units till now in the grid. With this, IMP is all set to further expand this technology all over the country. From june, the local assembly of Turbines has started in IMP Silvassa.

Company’s first small hydro project BAIRAS has worked throughout the peak winter and generated upto 750KW (one plant commissioned) with no breaks in temperature upto -37°C. This is the first project commissioned under Hon'ble Prime Minister Ladakh Scheme with the capacity of 2x750 kW. The plant is feeding more than 1000 families in town along with Army Headquarters. The second Phase of Bairas with the capacity of 1x 750 KW is being commissioned this month.

Another Project SANGRAH (2x750kW) in Kargil is under pre-commissioning and by the month end it will be commissioned.

News was announced after market hours. Stock of IMP Power closed at Rs. 88.70 nearly 13% up in NSE on 7th June 2018. Stock has corrected nearly 34% from its peak of Rs. 133 since January 2018. We have also noted that trade volumes are significantly high from 15th May 2018.
