Genus Power Infrastructures Limited sets up an Advanced Metering Infrastructure Lab at Smart Grid Knowledge Centre of PGCIL, Gurgaon

Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd, has set up an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) lab at the recently established Smart Grid Knowledge Centre of Powergrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) at Manesar, Gurgaon.

Recently, the Power Minister of India, Shri R.K. Singh had inaugurated this Smart Grid Knowledge Centre (SGKC) of PGCIL. The SGKC is a resource centre for providing technical support in all technical matters, including development of technical manpower, capacity building, outreach, suggesting curriculum changes in technical education etc.

At this Mr. Jitendra Kumar Agarwal, Joint MD commented, “Genus has always been committed to playing a significant role in the digitization and power reforms phase of this country. Over the years, we have developed in house capabilities to manufacture technologically advanced products & Solutions and have successfully executed some differentiated orders. The setting up of an AMI Lab is reaffirming our commitment towards the digitization and power reforms goal and we are proud to be associated with Powergrid in its smart grid mission.”
